The Cartridge Maintenance Utility application for FlashCacheT II (FCMMII) cartridges allows the user to perform the following operations on the FlashCache cartridge; erase, upload, download, memory validation, and declassification. The CMU also facilitates uploading FCMMII Firmware.

The CMU enables the standalone use of the FlashCacheT II cartridges. Using a PC with standard 1394b interface and cable a FCMMII cartridge can be accessed facilitating ease of used by the customer and elimination of the need to addition hardware for data retrieval, and cartridge maintenance.
